December 10, 2023

The last hurrah for popular Irish musician Paul Byrom at the Pub - he is here this coming Friday, December 15th for a special 7:30 PM Christmas Concert in The Loft.  Paul has performed here many times in the past when he's on tour, and we're definitley going to miss him.  It's a ticket-only event so please check out his website and click here for further details.

We will be opening at 9:00 AM tomorrow (Saturday 12/9) for the Manchester United - AFC Bournemouth match. Looking at the schedule through years end, this will likely be our last "early" opening so please join us!  We are also planning to have a small complimentary breakfast buffet available at halftime.

Plans are in motion for an "End of an Era" celebration the weekend of December 29th - 31st.  We will make the final days memorable!  Details to follow in the near future.

This Saturday (December 2nd) the Village of Barrington is hosting the annual holiday festivities, with the Santa house, tree lighting ceremony and other activities right outside the Pubs front doors!  Details on all the events can be found on the Village website.

Congratulations (and thank you) to our hometown Barrington Broncos football team for a fantastic 12-1 season, which will have them finishing as one of the top four teams in the state.  The Pub is very proud to have supported the team this year and all the ones in the past!

Due to some technical reasons, unfortunately we won't be able to show the Barrington Broncos vs. Lincoln-Way East playoff game tomorrow (Saturday 11/18).  Note that it is being broadcast through the NFHS subscription service, and you can click here for the link (this is the only official site confirmed through BHS).

Here's a look at our upcoming holiday schedule:

Wednesday November 22 - the entire Pub (main level and The Loft) will be open for "Blackout Wednesday" normal business hours (until 1:00 AM).  Entertainment details will be posted soon on the right side of this page.

Thursday November 23 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING! The Pub opens for full bar service at 5:00 PM.  No kitchen/dinner service available, but snacks may be provided.

Sunday December 24 - normal business hours, and our kitchen will be closing at 8:00 PM so BOH staff can spend some evening time with family.

Monday December 25 - MERRY CHRISTMAS!  The Pub will open at 5:00 PM with full bar service but no kitchen service.  Various snacks may be provided.

Sunday December 31 - normal business hours, and at the time of this writing we are planning a "casual" New Years Eve party (details forthcoming at a later date).

Monday January 1, 2024 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Normal business hours and full service at the Pub.

Updating some confirmed sports viewing Saturday (11/11) at the Pub - we will be opening at 9:00 AM for the Manchester United - Luton Town match, then we'll have our Nebraska Huskers vs. Maryland at 11:00 AM, and later in the afternoon we'll be showing our Barrington Broncos vs. Maine South at 5:00 PM.

We're already looking forward to Saturday as our Barrington Broncos host Maine South in the 8A state football playoff quarterfinals (kickoff 5 PM)!  The Pub is the official spot for the BHS Quarterback Club parents & fans to gather for pre-game festivities but we happily welcome visiting fans to also stop here for some great food & drinks.  Also, for those who aren't going to the game we'll be showing it with sound.  GO BRONCOS!

This coming Sunday (11/5) we're having a football watch party for the Bears-Saints game; it will feature all-you-can-eat pizza and gumbo for $25 per person.  Details forthcoming and they will be posted on the right side of this page.

We will continue to offer Sunday Brunch menu options but they have been scaled down to half a dozen of the best sellers.  Note that these items are in addition to our regular Pub menu offerings, so there are plenty of choices! We also offer special pricing on Bloody Marys and Mimosas.

The "Pizza, Beer & Brisket" specials every Saturday are perfect for gamedays and remain the same as before. Basically it's a few specially priced draft beer options, Bud/Bud Light buckets, discounted pizza and an amazing Smoked Corned Beef sandwich available only today.  Visit our Specials page for details.

Our ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT Friday Fish Fry (4 PM - 9 PM) remains as our regular Friday special, where $17.95 gets you our signature Fish & Chips entree and lets you keep eating for the same price!

On a different note, best of luck to our Barrington Broncos football team, who are undefeated, sixth ranked in the state and host Glenbrook South tonight at 7 PM in the first round of the playoffs.  The Pub is honored to be hosting pre-game festivities for the players parents and fans!
