The Village of Barrington continues to cultivate and support its wonderful community, and the growth of the village has never been more apparent than now.  With new businesses and entertainment options flourishing, Barrington truly has become a great place to live, work and play.  Building on such rich traditions as the Independence Day Celebration, Brew Fest, Cruise Nights, Farmer's Markets, the Art Festival, Homecoming Day, Relay for Life and the Scarecrow Fest, the Village is thrilled to welcome back one of the largest annual events, and being that it's in March it's the perfect start to another year of big fun in Barrington.

The 3nd annual Barrington Celtic Fest will take place on Friday March 15th through Sunday March 17th on the 200 block Park Avenue, just East of South Cook Street and including McGonigal’s Pub & The Annex. The three-day festival will begin on Friday at 4:00 PM and run all day Saturday & St. Patrick's Day Sunday.  The Pub & Annex will open at 9 AM both Saturday & Sunday and stay open until normal closing times (2 AM and 1 AM respectfully). A huge heated festival tent will be erected over the majority of Park Avenue so patrons can enjoy the celebration outdoors without worries about the fickle March weather!  Festival Tent times are 4 PM - 1 AM Friday, 11 AM - 1 AM Saturday and 11 AM - Midnight on Sunday.  The agenda for the days includes live music, a mix of local retail restaurants and merchants, various entertainment including Irish dancers, bagpipers, special guest appearances, and of course plentiful availability of food and beverages both in the outdoor festival area and the pub.  Details on music, participants and food/drink vendors are listed below.

Admission to the Festival Tent is $10, with a portion of these proceeds going towards the American Cancer Society/Relay For Life.  Any event tickets purchased in advance at the Pub or on Friday March 15th are good for the entire weekend.  There is no charge for children 12 and under to are allowed into the Festival tent free of charge during the day.  There is also no additional charge for entering McGonigal's Pub or The Annex at any time during Celtic Fest.

Sorry, but there will be NO special seating or reservations of any type taken during either day of the Celtic Fest.  Seating will be available in our Pub 2nd level and in The Annex on a first come, first served basis and in The Annex.  There will also be tables in the Festival Tent again on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, NO COUPONS or special promotional discounts will be honored on March 16th and 17th.

The Pub will be offering a limited menu INSIDE throughout the festival weekend, providing Corned Beef & Cabbage, Fish & Chips, Shepherd's Pie, Reubens and Pub fries...and for the kids we'll have Chicken Fingers and Hot Dogs (both kids options served with fries).  In the tent the Pub will be offering our famous Corned Beef & Cabbage, Brats, Hot Dogs and Corned Beef Sandwiches.  There will be many other food options through Clarke's Bakery & Deli, Cooper's of Barrington and Wild Asparagus...all of which our fellow Barrington businesses.  During both days the Pub offers full bar service in both levels, as will The Annex, and in the tent there will be TWO beer trucks serving Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks, Blue Moon and of course Miller Lite green beer.  There will also be some special "Irish Version" 16oz cans of Budweiser, Bud Light & Miller Lite, along with Jameson and select wine options available.  Pepsi & Diet Pepsi will be available through the Pub food station, and water will be offered by local business and Celtic Fest sponsor Angel Water.

Note - in the festival tent, all beverages and food will be CASH ONLY.  Credit cards can be used for services within the pub.

The Barrington Celtic Fest is focusing on food, drink and fun, with local and Irish merchants on hand.  With several diversions for the kids, families are welcome and encouraged to attend during the daytime hours.  However, please understand that it's still St. Patrick's Day weekend at an Irish Pub, which inevitably becomes more of an adult "holiday" as the evening hours arrive.

To best accommodate all our patrons during the entire Barrington Celtic Fest, the Pub, Annex and Festival Tent will be 21+ in age after 6 PM
